I hate it when that happens

As every male submissive knows, there is a serious shortage of dominant women in the world, or at least a shortage of women willing to invite a complete stranger, and a pervert to boot, into her home and life. This makes it especially annoying when a potential relationship fails for an idiotic reason. This just happened to me.

I met a woman through collarme.com who needed an attentive and obedient domestic servant. We met for dinner, and all seemed to go well. The next week I went to her apartment and cleaned her bathroom, did her laundry, did some data entry, and sorted through a huge stack of files. It was the last part that did it. It turned out she was into -- I mean into -- the daffiest sort of New Age hokum: Conferences where, it was promised, one could learn to meditate one's way to great personal wealth. Really. Apparently, rich people are rich not because their parents were rich, or because they're conscienceless bourgeois swine, but because their spiritual financial connections to the universe are always open. And so on. It was drivel, and there was a lot of it, and it was a real buzzkiller for me.

Up to that point, I had been grooving in my humble service. Kneeling on her bathroom floor, scrubbing out the shower stall; bringing load after load of laundry down to the basement and back; offering up so much of my time and effort to this demanding woman -- this was great. Finding out she was an idiot -- this was bad. There can be a special humiliation in submitting to someone you don't respect, and I'm all about humiliation, but apparently I had found a hard limit (my other hard limit: bad spelling).

That was my first and last day of service to her. I told her it just wasn't what I thought it would be, thanked her, and moved on.

I really feel for you. I'm a sub woman (sorry if only I was a Domme!) and it's so sad when you find a top who seems sooo perfect on paper and then turns out to be a dumbarse (or often in the case of dominant men, a bit of an anorak).
Really enjoy your blog. Keep on.
Mine (if you want the view from a female side is stigmatiae.blogspot.com - not been great at keeping it up recently, but hey I have humiliating things to think about and that takes up a lot of my time (O: ).
